1. I can't seem to find
Moonshine on a map, is it real?
Yes, it is! Most
GPS units will get you close to Moonshine but even they will be about 1
mile off. The easiest way is to come to the Comfort Inn, on
Saturday, or Terry's house and be escorted down to Moonshine the first
time. You can be like the original Moonshine Lunch Run guest
"Blue Moon" and ride on every gravel road down there looking for
Moonshine instead of riding on the hard roads.

2. Can
Helen & Roy Tuttle the owners really cook enough Moonburgers for this
growing crowd?
Yes, they can!
This is their most favorite and looked forward to event the whole
year. A ton of work is involved for them and many locals pitch in
to help them, but they love every and all the bikers that show
up each year. They almost get misty eyed when they talk about the
great group that shows up each year. Locals have even offered to fire up
additional grills at Moonshine if the need arises. Last year we
started sending people down to Moonshine at about 8:30 or so to help. People said they
got there Moonburger less than 1 minute after ordering!
3. Is
there an "Entry Fee" to register and participate?
NO! Never
has and never
will be on my watch! This was started as a wacky way to get
together and charging would only screw that up! I am just glad to
have you as a guest. Donations are accepted to help with the cost,
but every left over penny is donated to charity. You can look at
the history page and see where the money has gone in the past.
4. You
having Moonshine T-Shirts for sale again?
Yes, I will! If
you are interested, make sure when you sign up to click on what
sizes and how many you would like. This helps us get an idea on
how many to order this year. All money over the cost
of the T-shirts will once again be donated to charity. You can
look at the history page and see where the money has gone in the past.
I (Jody) hope to get Terry started earlier someday so you can order your
t-shirt before the event and show up wearing it.
5. Is
the "Sweet Roll Lady" going to be there again?
Yes, she will be baking again. Renee Honselman has donate her time
in the past to make sweet
rolls for breakfast on Saturday morning. The money she collected
has went to the Willow Creek Mission
Fund in the past. She knows it is a great cause and it is her way in helping
them and feeding us.
6. What does this money from the T-Shirts/Sweet Rolls/Donations go
towards?
In the past, the money was sent to
a former local person who now lives in Tucson through Willow Creek
Church. He had been doing Mission
work at an Orphanage and surrounding area in
Imuris, Mexico for over 10
years. Many local people from here every year spend there own $$$ and
go down to Mexico and help Build/repair/fix/install and just help out.
Currently, we aren't sure if the mission work will be continuing.
We are looking in to other options.
7.
Why do we need to sign up to eat a Moonburger on Saturday or eat a
Richards Farm Friday?
Helen and Roy Tuttle
want to know how many Buns/Chips/Sodas/Hamburgers/Klondike bars to
order. Those that have been there before know how small a
place it is and the only way we pulled it off each year
is knowing how many are planning to come. The same goes for
Thursday at my house and Richards Farm. It just gives me an idea on what to get ready for,
but the more the better.
8. Why
do you want to know my E-mail address/City/State/Name/Internet handle/
and miles from Moonshine when I sign up?
E-mail, so it makes it
easier to contact you. These e-mails will never be used for
anything but this wacky Moonshine Lunch Run. You have my word. If you are
uncomfortable about adding your e-mail, just leave it off. City and State? Just
curious is all. It is fun to see where everyone is from. Name/Internet name? You
would be amazed at how many people only know someone as the internet
name or real name, but not both. One year, I had a person sign up on
"The List" as "Rocket Launcher" and sign in as Frank Smith.
I had no idea
who Frank Smith was, until he said his internet name!
9. Are there going to be Door Prizes You ask?
Yes,
there Are! I know , at least, the top 5 guys on riding the farthest will win
something. Things are normally donated each year to give out.
These
will be given away for wacky things we think of later.
10.
Why have this in April?
Well, I farm
for 1
reason. Farming runs all the way up
through June. Then, I am ready to head off to the Blue Ridge
Parkway like I always do. Fall would be a good time to have it too,
but again faming rules what I can do and when I do it. But, you know, most
seem to like the idea of April! Why? Many have all been setting
around for months not able to ride. For months before Moonshine
Run, we can sit and talk about going. It is the first big blow out
of the riding year that many can attend. We can yak forever about the bad weather we rode through, the tornado's we saw on
the way up, the snow we drove through on the way down and the hail that
hit us 100 miles away from home! We really can wear our Moonshine
shirts with pride knowing that we are motorcycle riders and not just
owners. We proved it by making the Moonshine Lunch Run!
11. Is
the Moonshine Host going to run out of gas on the way to Moonshine
this year?
Ummm, well,
I hope not. But, come and witness it first hand and see!

12. If the weather is bad Saturday,
will you reschedule?
I would, but I don't know
what I would tell all the people that will already be here from Maine,
Florida, Arizona and so on.
